Design DNA

Template: bone page (#F7F6F1 range) with a very heavy condensed grotesque at about 80px for THE YARD -BRISTOL and UPCOMING SHOWS. Gig photographs are dropped as a loose collage at four different sizes, each with a tiny caps title and an ISO date (2025-11-07) beneath. A red marker scribble circling THIS MONTH @THE YARD is the only colour accent on the page. The listing below is a ruled table — date, act, support act, thumbnail — with alternating row tints, and a small black footer bar with three link columns closes it.

Worth borrowing

Annotate one element with a hand-drawn marker circle as the single accent on an otherwise monochrome poster layout.
Write event dates in ISO form (2025-11-08) in small caps so a listing reads like a printed schedule.
Give each listing row a small photo thumbnail at the right edge rather than a card per event.
