Design DNA

Canary yellow hero with a grey dotted paper field below and a chunky grotesque set in sentence case. Key phrases are highlighted in yellow, lilac and mint as if marked by hand, and arrows are drawn between clauses. Media appears in small skeuomorphic window chrome — filenames, close buttons, play controls — scattered at angles rather than gridded. Grantee photographs float as loose polaroids across the dotted field. Press logos sit in coloured rectangles, and a heart-and-skull wordmark runs enormous in the black footer.

Worth borrowing

Highlight phrases inside a running paragraph in three different marker colours to build the site's navigation.
Wrap videos and GIFs in small fake desktop-window chrome with visible filenames.
Scatter community photos as loose polaroids on a dotted paper field instead of a grid.
