Design DNA

The page opens with the wordmark set at display size, cropped by the viewport edge, over a white ground. A large serif welcome paragraph doubles as navigation: black pill links ('Academics', 'The Work') sit inline in the sentence. Small photo cards with captions run down the left, then a black band lists every major as full-width rules of bold text. A yellow research band and a horizontal strip of student project stills with white captions follow, with news on pale blue.

Worth borrowing

Crop the wordmark against the viewport edge so it reads as artwork rather than a logo.
Embed navigation as pill buttons inside a running serif paragraph instead of a separate link list.
List programmes as full-width text rows separated by hairlines on a black band.
