Design DNA

Template: light grey #E9E9E9 page with black, one black 'Watch' band and dotted borders. Masthead is an ultra-wide extended display 'READO' over a black category bar with icons; headings and titles use a classic Times-style serif, labels a small sans. Every card wears retro window chrome: 'OOO' dots, dashed rule, '[NO. 018]' issue number, then image, category, author and read time. Imagery is cut-paper collage and mixed-media illustration. A dashed stamp-like newsletter box, a podcast row with poster art, an editor's letter with a halftone portrait and a black footer.

Worth borrowing

Frame every post card with fake window chrome and an issue number to make a blog grid feel collectible.
Put the newsletter signup in a dashed box with a postage-stamp graphic next to the hero.
Set a black category strip with small icons directly under an extended-width masthead.
