Design DNA

Template: cream #F7F4EC page, high-contrast Didone serif (Bodoni-like) for headlines and recipe titles with a small uppercase tracked eyebrow, plain grotesk body. Hero is a two-line statement over one dark moody food photo with a featured-recipe meta row (servings, oven time, cost link). An italic serif marquee of categories divides into a four-by-two recipe grid, then a beige band holding a real ingredient cost table with forest-green #2F5D46 total-per-serving tile. Stats row, black pull-quote band, cook cards and a black footer close.

Worth borrowing

Put the product's unique tool (an ingredient cost calculator) live on the home page as a full-width form band.
Run category names as an italic serif marquee between hero and grid.
Show recipe meta as icon rows (servings, time, cost) under Didone titles.
