Design DNA

White and pale-blue editorial layout with a heavy blackletter-ish slab wordmark, a sharp bold serif for article titles and a mono small-caps system for categories and dates. A trending tag row sits under the nav. The hero is a photo-plus-text carousel on light blue. Below, a left column of collection cards, each with a large flat illustration in coral, blue, teal and navy and black pill buttons, with two featured articles; a right column numbers a Top 10 list with thumbnails. Newsletter band and quiet footer.

Worth borrowing

Give every content collection its own flat illustration in a shared four-colour palette.
Pair a numbered Top 10 column with collection cards in a two-column editorial grid.
Use mono small-caps labels for category and date under serif headlines.
