Design DNA

Template: pure black #000 canvas, white heavy grotesk and a single orange #FF5A00 for place names and availability. Hero is a strip of repeated portrait crops with one enlarged face and the stacked lowercase wordmark 'mona black' at ~90px. The body is a long free-floating collage: photos of varied sizes placed off-grid on alternating sides, with quotes set vertically along the gutters and short bold paragraphs in the gaps. A Denmark map marks the city. Journal cards overlay titles on images; the footer lists services, clients and availability in small bold type.

Worth borrowing

Lay out a photography portfolio as an off-grid scatter of mixed-size images on black instead of a grid.
Rotate pull quotes 90 degrees and run them along the gutters between photos.
Open with a row of repeated crops of one portrait, one enlarged, as the hero.
