Design DNA

Full-bleed close-up of a chef plating with tweezers, a centred condensed serif uppercase headline in white and small mono side captions. Colour-blocked bands in muted mauve and pale powder blue carry centred condensed-serif headlines, one small food photo each and centred uppercase mono paragraphs. A white section staggers black-and-white chef photos and colour dish photos asymmetrically with short mono lists, then a blog row of photo cards and an off-white footer with a handwritten script logo and a boxed legal strip.

Worth borrowing

Pair a condensed serif display with a tiny uppercase mono for captions to feel classic and modern at once.
Give each story band its own muted flat colour with one small centred photo.
Stagger black-and-white kitchen photos and colour dish photos on a white grid for rhythm.
