Design DNA

Warm ivory and white bands with a condensed high-contrast serif, all caps for the title and sentence case for section heads, and navy as the only strong colour. The hero is a cropped garden photo with a round play button for a virtual tour. Sections layer faint cursive script watermarks and scanned handwritten letters behind offset photo collages: the governor at his desk, the family on the portico, a mosaic of interior details. A navy guest-book form sits over a photo of the signed register, then a navy footer with a line-drawn mansion icon.

Worth borrowing

Layer faint scanned handwritten letters and one large script word behind section headings to signal heritage.
Build the 'explore the house' band as an asymmetric mosaic of detail crops (china, door hardware, chandelier) around one room shot.
Turn a guest book into a live form card placed over a photo of the real register.
